It all started in a gallery on the lower east side…

or actually…. if you really are curious: it started when my Mom needed help with hanging her giant textile art works in galleries all over the Netherlands…

My name is not Happy Walls; Surprise! it’s Claire Fleury; and aside from hanging art since I was twelve, I started applying wallpaper and decals to the gallery walls of Strange Loop Gallery in NYC: a gallery owned by my partner Cash Levi Exum and myself from 2011-2014. Our signature was to change the decor of the gallery with each change of exhibition. We went from forest murals to golden walls, pink and orange stripes, blue circles, purple walls, back to white walls, newspaper print, giant peonies… decals and murals were applied and removed with the speed of light…

I have been applying all kinds of wallpaper ever since: from peel and stick to pre-pasted, unpasted, grass cloth, fleece paper. Murals, decals and wallpapers in living rooms, bed rooms, hallways, nurseries and bathrooms!

I work for individual clients as well as interior designers like mr. Alec Holland and staging bureaus like Urban Casa.
But most of all, I work to make your project come true!
